About the position

Here you have the opportunity to work as a comprehensive school teacher for grades 4–6. However, we would prefer that you have broad eligibility for grades 4-6, as the position also involves teaching in most theoretical subjects, primarily in grades 5 and 6. Your teaching is based on planning, implementation, assessment, and development. You will join a committed and development-oriented team working for the development and well-being of all students. You will follow the requirements of the governing documents regarding planning, implementation, follow-up, and development. In addition to regular teaching and mentorship, you are expected to develop teaching together with colleagues. You have a student focus and believe in every student's willingness and ability to develop, and you vary your teaching according to the students' needs.

Examples of tasks:

• plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in the subjects you are eligible to teach
• use methods and approaches that lead to the best possible goal achievement
• perform mentorship/class teacher duties
• support students' social development
• create a good environment for learning
• work and document in the operational systems available
• collaborate with other teachers at the school and staff at the leisure center

About the workplace

Odenskolan is a grades F-9 school located in Odensbacken. Approximately 300 students, from preschool class to grade 9, study at the school today. Odensbacken is located approximately 25 km from Örebro with good bus connections.

Within the Preschool and Primary Education Administration, approximately 4,530 employees work. We meet young people from Örebro from their first day in preschool to their last day in primary school. We are jointly responsible for contributing to creating equal conditions for young people from Örebro and laying the foundation for learning that extends throughout life. Qualifications

As a teacher, it is important that you have good collaboration skills, where you listen and communicate, and contribute to a calm and secure school environment. You should also have knowledge of children's development and learning, as well as the ability to adapt teaching based on the group and individual students' needs and conditions. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• teaching license with broad eligibility for grades 4-6, or alternatively a degree that qualifies for a teaching license

Meritorious:

• knowledge of language and knowledge-developing approaches
• eligibility in several subjects for primary school
