Together, we are developing Sahlgrenska University Hospital for a sustainable future. We are transforming healthcare with the goal of becoming Europe's leading university hospital by 2032. Together with our patients, we work for quality, accessibility, patient safety, research, education, and innovation within an integrated healthcare system in the Region of Västra Götaland. Our vision and goals aim for care of the highest quality, where the patient is always in focus. We provide local and regional healthcare, as well as highly specialized care for patients throughout the country and abroad. Our employees are our strength, contributing to knowledge exchange nationally and internationally. With digital tools and new working methods, we can simplify life at the hospital and offer modern, accessible, and efficient care of the highest quality.
About the Role
To meet current and future assignments and goals, we are now looking for a licensed psychologist for "En väg in" (EVI).
EVI is a region-wide contact center for children and young people in Västra Götaland with mental health issues. At EVI, referrals sent to all Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) clinics in the region are processed, along with telephone counseling calls from, among others, young people, guardians, and care partners. Organizationally, EVI belongs to Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
En väg in is located on Drottninggatan in central Gothenburg. Approximately 20 employees work here, consisting of psychologists, nurses, doctors, and care administrative secretaries. We work in a cross-professional manner and benefit from each other's experiences and competencies. We also continuously provide staff training in areas relevant to the operations, and we collaborate with BUP's outpatient clinics in the region, as well as care partners and collaboration partners such as primary care, school health services, and social services.
Responsibilities
Your workday at En väg in consists mainly of two parts: assessing incoming referrals and staffing our counseling telephone.
Guardians and, to some extent, young people call the counseling telephone with questions regarding mental health. Your task is to triage them to the correct level of care (BUP or primary care) or provide self-care advice, supported by developed triage documents and current Regional Medical Guidelines (RMR). Care partners and collaboration partners also call the counseling telephone.
In the referral assessment, all referrals sent to BUP in the region are processed, including self-referrals. These are assessed in teams of at least two employees, and the main task here is also to triage to the correct level of care.
As an employee at En väg in, you also have the opportunity to be part of the further development of the operations and to participate in various working groups regarding, for example, training and internal planning.
Furthermore, there is an opportunity for remote work a couple of days a week.
About You
We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist. You have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, and good knowledge of English. You have good IT skills. We consider it meritorious if you have previous experience working with children and young people with mental health issues and/or experience with referral assessment.
Great importance is placed on your personal qualities, where a good approach is central in the telephone contact with children/young people and their parents. Since you work in teams with referral assessments and have contact with various collaboration partners, you also need to have very good teamwork skills.
To thrive in the role, you need to be able to maintain quality and pace in methodical and recurring tasks. At the same time, you need to be flexible and able to shift focus when priorities change.
Selection and interviews may take place continuously during the application period, so please send in your application as soon as possible.
We warmly welcome your application!
