About the position

As a nurse in the palliative team, you have a collaborative function with the patient, relatives, municipal primary care, and other healthcare providers. We strive for continuity, and together with an assigned physician, you are responsible for symptom management for the patient and work together with other healthcare providers. You meet the patient and relatives where the patient is located, such as at home, in short-term accommodation, or at the hospital. Examples of tasks may include telephone consultations and home visits, home blood transfusions, assisting with procedures such as paracentesis and drain insertion, patient education, and teaching/lecturing for other healthcare providers.

The position is a fixed-term assignment (vicariate) and is expected to run from 2026-08-31 to 2028-06-04.

About us in the palliative team

Specialized palliative care works in collaboration with other healthcare providers, such as municipal primary care, to provide the individual with the best possible care, based on self-determination and participation for the patient and relatives. The team works in close care, which means offering care where the patient is located, following registered patients at home and throughout the entire care chain. The team also provides psychosocial support to the patient and relatives.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with broad competence and preferably experience from both outpatient and inpatient care. The job requires that you have a valid driver's license (Category B). Experience from home healthcare/intensive care is meritorious. You should feel comfortable with advanced medical treatment in the home environment where the patient is located. As a person, we want you to be secure, sensitive, flexible, independent, and trustworthy. You find that changes in pace make the work stimulating and varied. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
