NU Hospital is part of the Region of Västra Götaland and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area covers 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are approximately 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forest, and lakes.

About Us

The operating department at NÄL is one of the three units of the AnOpIVA clinic. The others are the operating department at Uddevalla Hospital and intensive care at NÄL. We facilitate surgeries and treatments primarily within surgery, orthopedics, gynecology/obstetrics, and ENT. The activity runs 24 hours a day, and the distribution between elective and acute cases is roughly half and half. We offer many colleagues, and the premises are state-of-the-art with the latest technology and equipment. Working hours are adapted to the business with individual schedules.

About You

As an operating room nurse, you are a key player in the operating team together with the surgeon, anesthesia nurse, assistant nurse, and anesthesiologist. Your focus is good nursing care and high patient safety for the patient you are currently caring for, but also a conscious flow focus where you, together with the team, have a plan for upcoming patients.

You enjoy working at a varied pace where challenging and demanding situations are a natural part of the job.
