The Role

As Deputy Unit Manager, you work daytime hours, Monday to Friday. You have independent and systematic responsibility for the operations together with the unit's leadership. Your role is crucial in ensuring operational steering, quality, and continuity in the business.

The assignment is close to the operations and includes responsibility for the introduction of new staff, coordination of scheduling together with the staffing coordinator, and ensuring that employees complete mandatory training initiatives and implementation. You are expected to contribute actively and strategically to both care quality and operational development. Up to 50% of the position can, by agreement, include clinical work in the operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Independently identify areas for development, drive improvement work from analysis to implementation and follow-up.
• Work strategically with care quality, structure, and working methods.
• Follow up on how the unit's working methods are used and function in practice, such as Safewards, person-centered care, documentation, and central structures in daily work.
• Identify causes of deficiencies, propose solutions, and drive actions forward.
• Be an present leader who creates structure, clarity, and engagement in the work group.

Qualifications

For this role, we are looking for you who are a registered nurse with experience in psychiatric care, preferably from inpatient care. It is a big plus if you have specialist education in psychiatry.

It is meritorious if you have experience with:

• Leadership and change management.
• Systems such as Take Care, Heroma, Raindance, and QlikView.

You need to have qualities such as being analytical, structured, and solution-oriented. You are confident in yourself and have the ability to create trusting relationships with both employees and patients. You have good judgment and can make well-founded decisions even in complex situations. You are receptive, unpretentious, and have a genuine interest in developing both the operations and your employees.

To succeed in your assignment, you need to enjoy taking responsibility and driving the work independently, have good communication skills, and be good at creating engagement in others. Furthermore, you should be able to contribute to a positive work climate by being present, collaborative, and clear in your leadership.

Employment

Permanent employment at 100%. You are employed in your primary profession as a nurse with an appointment as Deputy Unit Manager.
