As a geriatrician with us, you will meet our elderly patients during both scheduled clinic visits and acute visits. The population of Roslagen is getting older, and many take pride in being able to manage on their own and stay at home for as long as possible. To meet this need, it is crucial that we have the geriatric competence required – something we highly value at Södra Primary Care Centre.

We are looking for you who want to develop and at the same time contribute to the primary care of the future. Here you get the opportunity to work with a holistic perspective in treatment, which means we can best meet each patient's needs.

The position is a permanent full-time employment. Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, on weekdays excluding holidays.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• Clinic work at the elderly care unit
• Rounds with nurses
• Continuous quality work both within your own unit and jointly within the primary care network Tiohundra

About you

For this position you need:

• To be a licensed physician with specialist competence in geriatrics and/or specialist in general practice
• Very good Swedish, both written and spoken

About us

Norrtälje Södra Primary Care Centre has approximately 11,400 registered patients and about 35 employees work here. The primary care centre is located in central Norrtälje.

At the primary care centre, you will have colleagues with high competence and long experience. We are a stable staff group with broad competence characterized by a good work climate and cross-professional collaboration. Here we have a diabetes nurse, a heart failure nurse, an asthma/COPD clinic, and an elderly care unit. The primary care centre also has a rehab team with a counselor and psychologist as well as a rehabilitation coordinator. All staff categories are engaged in student supervision in one way or another, something we believe contributes to us often receiving top grades from our medical students.

Tiohundra has 5 primary care centres and 1 branch primary care centre. We collaborate on quality and development issues both with the hospital and other operations within the company.
