Our Operations

This advertisement and position concern Värmdö Municipality's two special housing units.

  • Gustavsgården is a municipal special housing unit located in pleasant surroundings in central Gustavsberg. The facility consists of 101 apartments divided into 3 buildings/3 units and a total of 11 wards. The facility includes units for people with dementia and somatic diseases. The operations are conducted with the individual's needs in focus, and we always strive for the best possible quality. We also collaborate with Nestor R&D Center, a research and development activity for the elderly, as well as several other external parties to ensure quality and development.
  • Djuröhemmet is a municipal care and housing unit located in an archipelago setting in central Djurö. Djuröhemmet has 57 apartments, of which 33 places are for residents with somatic diseases and 24 places are for people with dementia. Here we work with modern methods through continuous competence development and welfare technology. We are close to the residents when they need us.

Both our operations are Silviahemscertified, which means that all employees have undergone basic training in dementia knowledge. Our supervisors have been trained in leadership, and on each ward, there are employees trained in reflective leadership.

Your Role

In the role of a nurse, you work closely with the unit manager with responsibility for health and medical care interventions at the unit. You contribute to developing working methods and processes based on clear roles and systematic quality work. You participate in creating routines, deviation management, and collaboration with the municipality's MAS (Municipal Advanced Nurse Specialist).

The role includes standard tasks for nurses such as care responsibility, delegation, assessment, documentation, registration in quality registers, contact with relatives and doctors, as well as supervision of staff. You work in a team with assistant nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, and you lead the nursing staff. The work is during daytime hours, no weekends. There is an opportunity for extension.

Your Experience

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse. You can work independently and prioritize your tasks. Communication, both oral and written, is an important part of your role, so we expect you to have good communication skills and be fluent in Swedish, both in speech and writing. As a person, you are responsible, service-oriented, and flexible, with a genuine interest in people. We expect you to be good at building relationships, making contact, and maintaining close dialogue with others in the organization.
