Folktandvården Stockholm's mission is to improve the population's oral health. We do this by working preventively with high care quality, the latest technology, and personal care for all our customers.
Are you looking for a change and want to start an exciting job in a hospital environment? Then seize the opportunity and apply for the open position as a Dental Nurse with us!
Your Role
We are a specialist clinic in Orofacial Medicine and work with patients with special needs who are referred from various departments at the hospital, as well as from general dentistry. We primarily treat adult patients and have Sweden's largest anesthesia service for dental care. We have a total of 12 treatment rooms, 3 of which are anesthesia rooms, and we are located on the ground floor of Danderyd Hospital, close to parking, the subway, and buses.
You will have standard tasks primarily as an assisting dental nurse, with some administration and sterile work. We operate a multidisciplinary practice, so you need to be able to handle the work with great flexibility and teamwork skills.
Our patients have special needs, and you need to be able to meet them with great empathy, recognize their individual needs, and provide security during treatment. You will assist in the treatment rooms, both during awake treatments and under anesthesia when the patient is asleep. You will be part of a cheerful and close-knit team that supports each other in good times and bad.
What you need to thrive and succeed with us
We are looking for you with a dental nurse degree and preferably with a few years of professional experience. You should have a genuine interest in working with fragile patients and enjoy working in surgical environments. If you also have a background in another caring profession, that is a plus. You need to have a solution-focused approach and always consider each patient's individual needs. You should also have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, as it is important to both give and receive information from patients, relatives, and staff regarding the patient. You are helpful and treat everyone with respect and kindness. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
Folktandvården Stockholm also offers you various benefits such as:
- Wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK
- Occupational pension
- Salary exchange to pension
- Extra vacation days for those over 40 years old
- Supplement during parental leave
- Opportunity to participate in an incentive model
- Healthy dental care
- Subsidized medical care
Employment
Welcome with your application by July 1, 2026. The position is a permanent full-time employment. Probationary period may apply, and start date is by agreement. Selection is ongoing. We take references from your clinic manager if you have been or are employed with us.
Before the interview, you must be able to prove your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to show a valid work permit, or documentation showing that you are exempt from the requirement. To be considered for employment, a successful pre-employment health examination is also required.
