At AniCura Regional Veterinary Hospital Bagarmossen, we are now looking for an orthopedic veterinarian who wants to work with advanced orthopedic surgery in one of Sweden's best-equipped and multidisciplinary animal healthcare environments.

Here you will have the opportunity to work with a large and varied referral flow, complex orthopedic cases, and advanced surgery together with some of the country's most experienced colleagues in surgery, anesthesia, imaging diagnostics, neurology, and rehabilitation.

Bagarmossen is one of Sweden's largest and most modern veterinary hospitals for dogs and cats, with extensive specialist operations. We have emergency care and surgical services around the clock and receive referrals from all over the country.

Our orthopedic department handles everything from lameness investigations to advanced fracture surgery, TPLO, arthroscopy, neurosurgery, and other complex surgical procedures. We have access to advanced imaging diagnostics such as MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound, which provides optimal conditions for diagnostics and surgical planning.

We work closely with our specialist teams in neurology, anesthesia, intensive care, rehabilitation, and imaging diagnostics to offer patients care at the absolute forefront.

About the Role

As an orthopedic veterinarian with us, you will become a key person in the continued development of our orthopedic department. You will:

• Work with advanced orthopedic investigations and surgical procedures.
• Perform surgeries such as TPLO, fracture surgery, arthroscopy, patellar surgery, and other orthopedic and orthopedic-related procedures.
• Handle both referral patients and acute orthopedic cases.
• Collaborate closely with our specialist teams in surgery, neurology, anesthesia, imaging diagnostics, and rehabilitation.
• Contribute to the development of working methods, routines, and the continued development of the orthopedic field.
• Mentor and support colleagues regarding orthopedic issues.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed veterinarian.
• Has several years of experience in orthopedic surgery.
• Is skilled in independently investigating and operating on orthopedic patients.
• Thrives with advanced cases and complex problem-solving.
• Is engaged in knowledge exchange and appreciates working in multidisciplinary teams.

It is an advantage if you have Step 2 competence, a master's degree, or diplomat status in surgery, or are working towards such a level of competence.
