Currently, the principal area of Näsbyparksskolan in Täby Municipality is looking for an engaged music teacher for grades 1–4. The position is 80–100% with a start date of August 10th.

About Us

The principal area of Näsbyparksskolan in Täby Municipality consists of four schools: Näsbyparksskolan (a grades 4–9 school with approximately 600 students), Norskolan and Slottsparksskolan (grades F–3 schools with approximately 200 students each), and Näsbypark Resource School.

The schools work closely together with a shared vision for learning, development, and leadership. Within the principal area, we value collaboration, shared responsibility, and a flat organizational structure where we utilize our diverse competencies to develop operations together.

The schools are located in Näsbypark, a beautiful natural area with good transport links to Stockholm via the Roslagsbanan railway or bus.

About the Role

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach music in grades 1–6. The position involves students in grades 1–4 across three schools, but the teaching is conducted in the music rooms at two of the schools.

As a music teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and developing teaching in close collaboration with colleagues and school leadership. You actively work for an inclusive school where all students are given the opportunity to succeed and develop based on their prerequisites.

We are looking for you who

• hold a teaching license and are qualified to teach music in grades 1–6.
• work both formatively and with a language-developing approach.
• are well-versed in the national curriculum documents and can translate these into meaningful learning for the students.
• use both digital tools and analog resources to create a diverse and engaging learning environment.
• view the student's entire study situation and wish to collaborate with student health services where needed.

You are structured, engaged, and clear in your teaching. You have a good collaborative climate with colleagues and organize your teaching effectively. You create a safe and trusting classroom where students feel involved. You vary your assessment methods and give students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in different ways, based on their individual prerequisites.

We would prefer if you were qualified in music combined with another subject, which could make it possible to offer a full-time position.
