What we offer you
As a special needs educator (specialpedagog) at Hermods Sollentuna, you will have a central role in creating accessible learning environments and strengthening special educational competence within the operations. You will work closely with teachers, school leadership, study and career counselors, and other professionals to ensure that students receive the support they need to achieve their study goals.
The role includes mentoring and supporting teachers in matters concerning extra adjustments and support measures, mapping students' needs, contributing to the development of routines and working methods, and following up on student cases. You will also contribute to the organization's systematic quality work and serve as a support in developing accessible learning environments at the organizational, group, and individual levels.
You will become an important part of our student health team and have the opportunity to influence and develop the special educational work within the operations. Since we conduct teaching both during the day and in the evenings, some evening duties are included in the position.
The position is a parental leave replacement as a special needs educator at 50 percent. For applicants with teacher certification and experience in teaching Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), there is an opportunity to combine the assignment with teaching. Depending on competence and the needs of the operations, the working hours can thus be increased up to 100 percent.
What we are looking for
We are looking for you who have a degree in special needs education and experience in special educational work within educational activities. You have good knowledge of accessible learning environments, extra adjustments, and special support, and you enjoy mentoring and supporting colleagues in pedagogical matters.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience with SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) as well as teaching within upper secondary and basic adult education
- Experience working in multilingual learning environments
- Teacher certification and experience in teaching SFI
As a person, you are sensitive, communicative, and have an easy time building trusting relationships. You work independently, are structured, and have a good ability to prioritize and organize your work. At the same time, you enjoy collaborating with different professions and actively contribute to the development of the operations.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment type: Parental leave replacement, 50%, for one year
