About the Position

Silverbäcken School is now looking for a certified teacher in Home Economics who wants to help create the best conditions for our students' development and learning. The position is 60% and is a permanent employment with a start date of August 10, 2026, or as agreed.

Job Description

As a teacher at Silverbäcken, you are responsible for ensuring that our pedagogical approach permeates your work. You are responsible for planning, teaching, documentation, and evaluation of your instruction. You believe it is important to work in a structured, engaging manner with learning as the focus. You will belong to the 7-9 grade work team and teach and assess Home Economics for grades 6-9. Mentorship may be included in the role.

You are responsible for your subject(s) and work together with your colleagues in the work team to ensure that students can develop to the maximum based on their conditions and needs. You will have close collaboration with other colleagues in the work team, and we encourage integrated work with various projects and themes. We actively work to give every student a democratic approach, as well as knowledge and skills for their future adult life.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are certified and qualified in Home Economics for grades 6-9. (Note: The original text also mentions Spanish, but the role is specified as Home Economics).

• Ability to build trusting relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians.
• Collaborative skills and an attitude of sharing knowledge and experience for collegial learning.
• Ability to plan and organize your work.
• Enjoy constant development and are passionate about teaching.
• Have experience working digitally, e.g., Google Classroom.
• Believe that students learn from varied teaching methods.
• Have an attitude characterized by trust in the student's ability and a clear desire to make students feel included.

About Silverbäcken School and Dibber

Dibber was established in Sweden in 2017 and currently operates preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, and open preschools. Dibber's headquarters are located in Sollentuna, with operations in large parts of Sweden.

Silverbäcken School is located in Silverdal, in southern Sollentuna, just about 15 minutes from Stockholm Central Station by commuter train. The unit offers unique and inspiring facilities as well as a lovely and play-friendly yard, well-adapted to children's different needs. We are close to nature. At Silverbäcken, you can start as a six-year-old and go all the way to grade 9; we currently have about 495 students at the school.

We have a wonderful atmosphere and actively work to give all employees the opportunity to influence and participate. We are a school that works with both digital and physical teaching materials. We also use the forest as a classroom, and especially younger students have outdoor education every week.
