Söderholmsskolan – a school with heart – is a municipal primary school located in Vårberg, beautifully situated a stone's throw from the shores of Lake Mälaren and within walking distance to Vårberg center. The school is safe and cozy, with approximately 370 students from preschool class to grade 6. At Söderholmsskolan, approximately 60 employees work in various teams. The staff in all school operations show great commitment and skill; they see opportunities and contribute to the school's positive development. The school's vision – a school with heart – permeates the entire operation and contributes to a workplace where people enjoy working, with lots of laughter and strong cohesion.

The school's organization is based on annual work teams in grades F–3 with an integrated after-school program, a team for the intermediate stage, and a team consisting of our practical-aesthetic teachers. The after-school staff are also part of the F–3 teams and contribute to the students' development and learning through collaboration. The school has an open after-school activity for students in grades 4–6. At Söderholmsskolan, every student should receive a high-quality education that gives them knowledge for life, a desire, and the opportunity to influence their own future.

Your Role

We are looking for a preschool teacher for a temporary position during the autumn semester. You will be receiving a completely new class of eager preschool class students and will have the chance to give them a safe and fun start in school. You will collaborate closely with the other two preschool teachers and the after-school staff working in the preschool class, as well as other staff at the school.

• In the role of preschool teacher, you plan and conduct teaching in the preschool class.
• As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for developmental conferences and have contact with guardians.
• You will belong to a team consisting of preschool teachers and childcare assistants with whom you have close collaboration. Together in the team, you work to create a safe group where all students have the opportunity to develop both socially and academically according to their own abilities.
• Working as a preschool teacher involves significant opportunities to influence and contribute to students' development. You contribute to a positive and developmental environment for each student with a clear student focus. You take advantage of students' curiosity and creativity in your planning of activities.

Your Competence and Experience

• We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades F–3 or a preschool teacher and who have experience teaching in the preschool class.
• You have good knowledge of the curriculum's goals and values and are well acquainted with literacy and early mathematics learning. You keep yourself updated on school development and also work on your own development in pedagogical and didactic issues.
• To succeed in the role of preschool teacher, you need knowledge and experience in meeting students with different abilities and prerequisites and have the student in focus when planning your teaching. You create a safe learning environment where students are made active participants in their learning.
• You have clear leadership where you set boundaries and handle conflicts in a listening and constructive manner. You easily create good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians, and you see collegial learning as a natural starting point.
• You see the use of digital tools as a natural part of the teaching.
