The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, after-school centers, primary school, upper secondary school, as well as adapted primary and upper secondary schools. We have over 3,200 employees at 40 preschools, 22 primary schools, and four upper secondary schools. The Role and Responsibilities

As a teacher, you are a vital part of contributing to Botkyrka Municipality becoming Sweden's best school municipality, where students succeed in school and develop according to their unique abilities.

In your role, you conduct language-developing teaching that engages students, along with related tasks such as preparation and follow-up of lessons, as well as grading. You are part of the middle school team and are actively involved in developing the team towards common goals with a solution-focused approach. You contribute to collegial collaboration by being curious, unpretentious, and always keeping the students' best interests in focus. Furthermore, you act as an agent of change in developing a good pedagogical and social learning environment. Therefore, together with your mentor colleague and other school functions, you conduct recurring needs assessments of your student groups and adapt teaching to meet their needs, following a structured and measurable change over time.

Together, we focus on the students' knowledge development! In this work, we need to collaborate between different professional roles at the school. You believe, as we do, that living value-based work is equally important, where the school day is characterized by both inclusion and participation. You are also well aware that when our current methods do not lead to desired results, we must take responsibility for analyzing, adapting, and developing our teaching. With a strong agentic approach, you see opportunities to change and improve teaching based on students' needs, so that all students are given the best possible conditions to develop as far as possible.

Mentorship is a central part of your role through social contacts regarding students and classes, contact with guardians, absence management, development conferences, and cooperation with authorities and social services. In your role, you collaborate with the student health team. You are expected to be able to work with digital tools in your teaching.

You who apply to us

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach Natural Sciences (NO) and Mathematics in grades 4-6. You have experience and a great interest in teaching, are a secure and warm leader with an authoritative leadership style.

Requirements:

• Teacher certification with eligibility for grades 4–6 in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (NO)
• Experience teaching in middle school (grades 4-6)
• Good ability to create secure relationships and a positive learning environment
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Experience using digital tools in teaching
• Ability to collaborate and contribute to the school's development work

Merits:

• Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) competence
