Your role

As a Science and Mathematics teacher (NO) here, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in the natural science subjects. The position is 50%, where you get the opportunity to awaken students' curiosity and scientific understanding in an environment that prioritizes safety and knowledge development.

The role includes:

• planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in Science and Mathematics based on the curriculum and students' needs
• working language- and knowledge-developing in all teaching to strengthen students' conceptual understanding within natural sciences
• creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment in classrooms and laboratories
• adapting teaching so that students with different prerequisites are given the opportunity to succeed
• actively contributing to the subject team's collaborative learning and the school's development work

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who:

• are a certified teacher with eligibility in Science and Mathematics subjects for comprehensive school (or have other education/experience assessed as equivalent for this substitute position)
• have experience of teaching in comprehensive school
• work consciously to create structure, study peace, and good relationships in student groups
• have a good understanding of language- and knowledge-developing methods within natural science subjects

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience of working in socioeconomically mixed areas
• experience in working systematically with follow-up and analysis of students' results

As a person, you are:

• secure and clear in your leadership: you lead the teaching with a firm hand and a warm approach
• flexible and solution-oriented: you easily adapt your pedagogy to the situation and the student group's needs
• a team player: you appreciate cooperation with subject colleagues and are happy to share good ideas and pedagogical setups
