Tyresö School is a grades F-9 school located in eastern Tyresö, with the forest right at your doorstep and within walking distance of a beautiful castle environment and bay. The schoolyard is large and invites varied games and activities. The school is characterized by good academic results, high well-being, and study tranquility. We know that there is nothing more inclusive than good teaching, and our common goal, where we all contribute in our different roles, is to create the best school for every individual student. We work together in year-level teams with a development-oriented Student Health Team (SHT) as support for teachers and students.

About the position

One of our special needs teachers has decided to move after many years at Tyresö School, and we are now looking for someone to replace her. You will be part of a special needs team consisting of four competent colleagues, who together drive a promoting and preventive student health work. This position will be focused on the subject of mathematics in the middle and upper secondary levels (grades 4-9).

Your tasks involve working with students who need special support or additional adjustments, but also sometimes supporting teachers in their work with leadership and stimulation. You are naturally part of the school's Student Health Team (SHT), where you contribute with the knowledge belonging to your profession. The position may also include conducting investigations regarding special support and formulating action plans.

Who are you?

You are trained as a special needs teacher or special educator and have several years of experience in student health work. You also have experience working as a class teacher or subject teacher and can bring that perspective to the collaboration with teachers.

You have a positive view of people and the ability to discover and strengthen the strengths of each student. You are sensitive and very skilled at building and maintaining relationships. You have excellent teamwork skills and thrive working in teams with other educators, where you see the importance of collective learning and experience sharing.
