At Sånghusvallens F-6 School in Ås, there are approximately 200 students. We work in close collaboration to create holistic solutions for the students. Our work is based on the student's opportunity for development and learning throughout the day.

We are now looking for a teacher for grades 4-6, who wants to help build a safe, structured, and developmental learning environment where every student gets the right conditions to succeed. The Child and Education Administration has approximately 800 employees. The administration's operations extend across the entire municipality and include preschool, primary school F-9, adapted primary school, leisure centers, catering and facility maintenance, mother tongue instruction, and library services.

A day as a teacher at Sånghusvallens School

As a teacher with us, you work in a work team where collaboration and shared responsibility for students' learning are central. You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on the curriculum and the students' needs. You have an important role both as a teacher and mentor in creating structure, safety, and study environment in the classroom, as well as building strong relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

You will work closely with colleagues in both the school and the nearby leisure center to create a holistic view of the students' school day. Meeting students with high expectations, clarity, and warmth is a natural part of the assignment.

The role also includes actively participating in the school's development work, where the focus is on language- and knowledge-developing approaches, collegial learning, and creating accessible learning environments. You become part of a context where we together develop teaching to achieve the best possible results for our students.

Your qualifications

For the position, we have the following requirements:

• You have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades 4–6
• You are well acquainted with the school's guiding documents and have the ability to translate them into your teaching
• You have a good ability to create structure, clarity, and safety in the classroom
• You build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and have a professional attitude in your assignment
• You have good collaboration skills and see the work team as a resource in the work

It is meritorious if you have the following qualities:

•  Experience of teaching in lower grades
• Experience with language- and knowledge-developing approaches as well as early reading and writing interventions
• Knowledge of extra adjustments and work with students in need of special support

The position is a permanent full-time (100%) employment.

The form of employment is a holiday service position, and the start date is 2026-08-12.
