Furulundsskolan is a school for grades F-6 located in the middle of the village in a rural environment, where we utilize the nature in the surrounding area in our teaching. It is a school with a positive and ambitious attitude towards knowledge and learning. The staff group is small and built on community and having fun together. The preschool is located next to the school and also houses the after-school center facilities, where collaboration between the activities is of great importance.

In this position, you will work 50% as a childcare worker at the preschool during the mornings and 50% as an after-school teacher during the afternoons. The after-school teacher role is a permanent position, while the childcare worker role is a fixed-term contract until June 2027.

The position is subject to the necessary decisions being made.

Responsibilities

• Be an important part of creating a safe, meaningful, and developmental after-school activity for students between the ages of six and twelve.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in the after-school center based on the curriculum.
• Collaborate with teachers, preschool teachers, and childcare workers, and contribute to the students' social and academic development.
• Collaborate with colleagues across school forms and maintain contact with guardians, providing information about the students, as this is a very important and central part of the role.

Opening and closing duties, as well as other common tasks at a preschool, are included in the position.

Qualifications

• Licensed after-school teacher.
• Knowledge of NPD (neurodevelopmental disorders) and the challenges that may arise in the school and after-school environment for certain students.
• Good strategies for handling challenging situations.

A certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) is required for the position. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

• You have excellent cooperation skills.
