What we do and want

Fornudden School is a modern, newly built school offering education from preschool class to grade 9 for approximately 880 students. We are ambitious in our mission and constantly aim to develop our operations with the student at the center.

Fornudden School is centrally located in Tyresö. The location, with its proximity to both nature and culture as well as good transport links, makes the school very attractive.

The school's student health team includes the principal, deputy principals, special education needs coordinator, special needs teacher, school psychologist, school counselor, and school nurse. We have high goals for our operations, striving to continuously develop teaching with a fundamental focus on safety and a good study environment. We believe that good relationships between students, as well as between guardians and staff, are a prerequisite for good academic results and a pleasant atmosphere at the school.

About the position

We are looking for you who love to teach and put the student at the center. You have a positive and professional approach, are flexible, have clear leadership in the classroom, show great commitment, and have high expectations in your work. You have good relationships with your students and actively work towards our students' goal achievement and well-being.

You see adapting teaching with varied approaches and examination methods as a matter of course. You are expected to collaborate closely with other teachers in your work team, the grades you teach, as well as with the school's student health team and school leadership. Joint planning and assessment with subject colleagues is part of the daily work.

The position is filled subject to the condition that it does not need to be reserved for internal transfers.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a certified craft teacher (slöjdlärare). You will teach wood and metal crafts in grades 3–9, which means you should be able to work with all different types of materials and techniques. We would like you to be creative, problem-solving, flexible, and have good collaboration skills.

You have the ability to engage, see, and challenge all students. You are pedagogical and cohesive in the classroom, achieving good academic results through inclusion and relationship-building. You strive for all students to achieve further than they thought possible, have good assessment skills, and are well-versed in the curriculum and other regulatory documents. You are interested in school development and following research and development.

You are reliable, meticulous, and have a good ability to plan your own time. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
