About Us

At Hantverksakademin, tradition meets the future. We offer education in a wide range of crafts, from furniture makers and blacksmiths to tile stove makers, tailors, and ceramicists.

Our students learn their trade through apprenticeships while simultaneously acquiring the theoretical knowledge needed to succeed as self-employed business owners.

About the Role

We are now seeking an engaged teacher with pedagogical training who wants to inspire the next generation of craftsmen to start and run their own businesses.

During the university college program at Hantverksakademin, our students take several different courses to prepare for a future as entrepreneurs.

The courses include, among other things:

• Basic law for small business owners
• Marketing and business planning
• Bookkeeping and accounting in small businesses

The position is 80–100%, where teaching, along with associated planning and administration, accounts for approximately 40%.

The remaining time can be adapted to your preferences, such as pedagogical development or communication. You will also spend part of your working hours visiting our students at their workshops to understand and get to know the target group.

This role is ideal for someone who has worked as a high school teacher for a few years and now wants to work with adults taking the next step into entrepreneurship.

We are looking for you who

• Have a subject teacher's degree with a focus on economic subjects or equivalent,
• Have at least three years of experience teaching economics/entrepreneurship at the high school level or above,
• Enjoy inspiring adult students,
• Can plan and conduct teaching both in classrooms and digitally,
• Are structured, engaged, and clear in your communication,
• Have very strong administrative skills,
• Can adapt your communication and language to different target groups.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience in entrepreneurship,
• Understanding of our university college's target group, i.e., aspiring craftsmen who need practical and accessible tools to start and run small businesses.
