Workplace Description

Fruängens School is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) with 600 students. The school is located adjacent to Fruängen Center, with easy access to good public transport connections – subway and buses. The area is characterized by housing from the 1950s and 60s, but newer residential areas have also been added.

The school consists of six buildings beautifully situated around a schoolyard with pines and large areas for playing and moving around. The classrooms are modern and offer an stimulating work environment. Interactive whiteboards are available in all classrooms.

The teachers at the school are qualified and certified, with a combined long experience in the profession.

The school's student health team consists of a special needs educator, school nurse, counselor, study and career counselor, and special needs teacher.

Job Description

We are looking for a teacher in Mathematics, Technology, and Natural Sciences for grades 7-9. The person we are looking for is a certified teacher with broad competence and experience. You are creative and have a good ability to meet and challenge students in their learning and growth. You have good collaboration skills and can adapt to different conditions. You will serve as a homeroom teacher (mentor) for grade 9.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher, qualified for grades 7-9 and the subjects Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Technology. You are accustomed to planning, conducting, and evaluating your teaching in collaboration with your colleagues. You have a solution-focused approach. You have a strong interest in developing students' abilities and skills both academically and socially. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You have experience in independently responsible for students in a class as a mentor. You are confident in leading parent meetings and having serious conversations with students independently. The position may be filled by a person who has priority for a position in the city due to surplus staff. The recruitment process starts in connection with the publication of the advertisement.

If you are a newly graduated teacher, you are entitled to a mentor during your first year, the introduction period.
