What we do and want

Tyresö School is a grades F-9 school located in eastern Tyresö, with the forest right at your doorstep and a short walking distance to a beautiful castle environment and a bay. The schoolyard is large and invites varied play and activities. The school is characterized by good academic results, high well-being, and a quiet study environment. We know that there is nothing more inclusive than good teaching, and our common goal, where we all contribute in our different roles, is to create the best school for every individual student. We work together in grade-level teams with a development-oriented Student Health Team (SHT) as support for teachers and students.

About the position

One of our special needs teachers is retiring this summer. In anticipation of a new teacher who is currently studying to become a special needs educator, we need someone to complement our team during this period. You will be part of a special needs team consisting of four competent colleagues, working together to drive a promoting and preventive student health effort. This position is primarily focused on the subject of Swedish in middle and upper secondary school.

Your tasks involve working with students who need special support or additional adjustments, but also supporting teachers in their work with leadership and stimulation. You are of course part of the school's Student Health Team (SHT), where you contribute with the knowledge belonging to your profession. The position also includes conducting investigations regarding special support and formulating action plans.

Who are you?

You are a certified special needs teacher or special needs educator with several years of experience in student health work. You also have experience working as a class or subject teacher, allowing you to bring that perspective to your collaboration with teachers.

You have a positive view of people and the ability to discover and strengthen the strengths of every student. You are sensitive and very skilled at building and maintaining relationships. You have excellent teamwork skills and thrive working in teams with other educators, valuing collective learning and the exchange of experience.
