At Hökarängsskolan, you will work in an operation where we together create the best conditions for every student's learning, development, and well-being – all day long.
Hökarängsskolan is a school for grades F–9, including both regular primary school and adapted primary school, as well as an after-school center (fritidshem) and after-school club/KTT. We have approximately 580 students, of whom about 60 are in the adapted primary school.
We work from the conviction that all students are everyone's students. Our students should be given the opportunity to develop as far as possible based on their prerequisites – both academically and socially.

As a student assistant with us, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of high competence and commitment.
Your Role
We are looking for a student assistant for a fixed-term position, starting as agreed.
You will work closely with students who have extensive support and care needs, often at an early developmental level. The assignment covers the student's entire day – both at school and at the after-school center.
You will contribute to:
- creating a clear, structured, and accessible learning environment throughout the day
- working with clarifying pedagogy
- using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), such as picture support and sign language
- carrying out care-oriented activities based on the student's needs
- meeting students with a low-affective approach, especially in challenging behaviors
- working systematically to ensure students benefit from teaching and activities
At the after-school center, you will:
- plan and carry out activities based on the after-school center's complementary and compensatory tasks
- create meaningful, developmental, and safe activities adapted to the students' prerequisites
You work in a team where many adults collaborate around the students and are expected to contribute actively and follow common structures.
Your Competence and Experience
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- have experience working with students in need of extensive support
- have knowledge of clarifying pedagogy, picture support, and TAKK (Communication Support)
- have experience working with students at an early developmental level and with care needs
- have experience with students exhibiting challenging behaviors
- work with a low-affective approach
- are sensitive, patient, and relationship-building
- have a strong student perspective where all students can succeed
You also have:
- good collaboration skills and thrive in teams
- ability to work systematically and follow common working methods
- understanding of the after-school center's mission and how it complements the school day
Merits
- Experience in adapted primary school
- Experience in AAC and care work
- Experience working in after-school centers
Other
A certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) is required before employment.
