In Skärholmen's municipal preschools, we give our children the tools they need to live and develop in a constantly changing world. Based on this, we have chosen to prioritize the areas of language, democracy, and health in our development work, where play forms the platform that permeates our education and teaching.

Preschool Unit 6 in Bredäng belongs to the Skärholmen District Administration. Bredäng is a multicultural area with apartment buildings, row houses, and villas. We are close to green areas, parks, and have good transport links. In our preschools, we have children with guardians from all over the world. The unit has approximately 370 children. The unit is led by a principal and a unit manager, and has support functions in the form of a special needs educator and a quality and education leader.

In your role as a preschool teacher with us, you work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool. You adapt the teaching and education to promote each child's development and learning based on their conditions, experiences, and needs. You create curiosity and a desire to learn, both during planned activities and spontaneous moments.

You play an important role in building a good pedagogical environment and have knowledge and ideas on how to realize the curriculum's goals and values together with your colleagues. As a preschool teacher, you lead and coordinate the pedagogical work in close collaboration with your work team, and you have good opportunities to influence and develop the operations.

The role involves planning, implementing, documenting, following up, and evaluating the preschool's education and teaching. You work systematically with observation, reflection, and analysis as a natural part of the daily work.

You participate and contribute to collaboration with guardians in both small and large contexts.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have a great commitment, are curious, and want to make a difference for the children you meet every day.

To be considered for the position, we require:

• Preschool teacher certification
• Good knowledge of children's development and learning
• Good familiarity with the preschool's governing documents and the ability to translate its intentions into practice
• Knowledge of and experience in systematic quality work for both the individual child, the group of children, and the preschool as a whole
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as basic IT skills (Office package, Tempus, Infomentor)

You are well aware that the preschool's education and teaching should be based on scientific grounds and proven experience, and you practice accordingly.

Your personal abilities and skills

You are a preschool teacher who constantly wants to develop and learn new things together with the children. You adapt the teaching and learning to the children's individual conditions and meet each child with respect, sensitivity, and humility. With an inclusive approach, you ensure that the children are part of a context with other children in the preschool.

As a leader, you are proactive, responsible, and structured. You have a holistic view of your assignment, are clear, and can organize the work together with your work team.

You are confident in your professional role and maintain your calm even in stressful situations. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and a professional attitude, actively contributing to creating good relationships with colleagues, guardians, and external partners.
