Roslagens Kulturskola is looking for a dance teacher who wants to contribute to the development of both the cultural school and the cultural life in Norrtälje Municipality. The role involves broadening the dance education, both stylistically and by reaching new target groups. The position includes teaching dance to various age groups as well as working in our early music and performing arts activities for the youngest children. You will also collaborate with colleagues in musical theatre and musicals to create inspiring and interdisciplinary education. We are looking for an experienced and professional dance teacher with broad competence in dance, who can teach in several different dance styles and enjoys working creatively with children and young people of different ages and developmental stages.

Roslagens Kulturskola offers voluntary music education in traditional instrument and ensemble training, group rock/pop education, folk music, music production, dance, theatre, and art. The cultural school's activities cover the entire municipality, including Norrtälje, Hallstavik, Älmsta, and Bergshamra.

The Assignment

The target group for the teaching is children from the age of 3 up to adults. The teaching takes place in groups and is led by a responsible dance teacher. The dance activity is part of the "Scenskolan" (Stage School) focus, which covers our subjects of art and theatre. Some teaching will take place together with our pedagog in musicals and musical theatre. The position also includes responsibility for our youngest students through the courses "Knattemusik" and "Musikteaterlek". The courses are aimed at children from around 3 years of age. Through singing, rhythmics, movement, play, and creation, children explore music and stage expression in a joyful way. The teaching is adapted to the group's needs and aims to spark curiosity and create a secure foundation for further development within our activities.

• Category B driver's license and access to a personal car

For this role, the starting salary is normally between 30,000 - 37,000 SEK depending on experience and competence.

In the case of permanent employment, a probationary period may apply.
