At Kämpetorpsskolan, we are currently a collegium of approximately 130 people with a common goal: to be the best school for our students.

Kämpetorpsskolan is located in the heart of Älvsjö and currently has approximately 930 students in grades F-9. In the middle school section (grades 4-6), we have three parallel classes with approximately 28 students in each class. Each grade forms its own work team consisting of teachers and learning support staff/safety personnel. Starting next academic year, we will reorganize so that we will have a special teaching group for students in grades 3-4 and one for students in grades 5-6. This position is for SU 5-6. The group has a maximum of 9 students. The school also has an SU group for students in the lower secondary school section (grades 7-9).

All pedagogical staff in the middle school section are trained in and use Minimedling (a specific mediation/pedagogical method).

MVP (Modular Based Pedagogy) is implemented in grades 5 and 6.

We have continuous pedagogical student health services in each work team.

The school leadership consists of the principal, deputy principals, and administrative manager. The student health team consists of the school leaders, special needs educators/special teachers, counselors, school nurses, and school psychologists.

Your role

We are now looking for you who want to be our new teacher in SU 5-6! You will be in SU 5-6 throughout the entire school day and be responsible for teaching in Swedish, English, and Social Studies subjects. Another teacher will be responsible for teaching in mathematics, Natural Science subjects, and Technology. Additionally, there are teachers for each practical-aesthetic subject. Throughout the entire school day, you also have a learning support assistant. The teachers who previously worked in the group remain at the school and are available for you to consult.

In your assignment, you plan, conduct, evaluate, document, and follow up on teaching in SU 5-6. What the students have in common is a significant need for support and the importance of close collaboration with guardians and external actors. You work actively to adapt teaching, develop alternative working methods, and use compensatory aids to create an accessible and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

• You are a certified teacher in Swedish, English, and Social Studies subjects for grades 4-6.
• You have experience working as a teacher in an SU group, preferably in the middle school section.

Merits:

• You have good competence in speech and language disorders.
• You have education and experience in MVP/Tåget and Minimedling.
• You have competence and experience in, for example, motivational interviewing and various conversation methods.
