SJR is now looking for a Controller for a full-time consulting assignment with our client, a well-known company with offices in Solna. The assignment starts on August 17 and initially runs until the turn of the year, with good opportunities for extension. There is also the possibility of hybrid work. For this assignment, we are looking for you who want to work as an employed consultant with SJR, with a monthly salary and pension benefits according to the collective agreement.

About the role

The role is placed within Functional Control and involves broad responsibility for financial management related to line cost centers, resources, assets, and internal projects. As a Controller within Functional Control, you work closely with the business and serve as a business partner in matters concerning operational costs, follow-up, and financial control.

Responsibilities

• Lead the budgeting process, including the development of hourly rates and investment assessments.
• Responsible for the forecasting process for a business unit and its reporting entities.
• Conduct monthly follow-ups and analysis at the unit and division levels.
• Support managers in financial matters related to their cost centers.
• Handle organizational changes and update financial systems.
• Ensure correct reporting and analysis of financial information.
• Link operational activities to the cost base for improved control and insight.
• Act as a business partner ("co-pilot") to the business in financial matters.
• Contribute to digitalization and development of financial processes.
• Work with continuous improvement of routines and systems.

Suitable background

We are looking for you who have at least 8 years of experience as a Controller or from a similar role within controlling and financial management. You have a solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up processes, as well as experience working in larger organizations with multiple reporting levels. You are accustomed to working close to the business and have the ability to translate financial data into relevant insights that support decision-making.

To succeed in the role, you are analytical, structured, and have high integrity in your work. You are communicative and thrive in a role with many contact points where you collaborate closely with managers and other functions. Furthermore, you are proactive, solution-oriented, and driven by developing processes and ways of working. You have good pedagogical skills and can clearly communicate financial information to the business.
