Your Workplace

Vårdcentralen Västerstrand is located in Våxnäs Centre, about ten minutes from Karlstad, with good bus connections. We are part of the Southern Karlstad operational area, together with the health centres Gripen, Tullholmen, Grums and Skoghall, as well as Vårdcentral Värmland and the Karlstad Emergency Centre. This gives us security within a larger context while maintaining a personal feel in our daily work.

Specialist doctors, ST and AT doctors, district nurses, registered nurses, assistant nurses, healthcare administrators, the counseling clinic, and the unit manager work closely together here. We believe in teamwork, participation, and that all professions are important to create the best possible care and a good working environment.

Your Responsibilities

As a district nurse here, you will have a varied, independent, and meaningful job. You will work with your own clinic, the health centre's emergency clinic, as well as telephone and digital advice.

You will work together with eight engaged and competent nursing colleagues who support, share knowledge, and collaborate closely.

Your Knowledge and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a district nurse or registered nurse, who is curious about or has prior diabetes competence, and who thrives in the varied everyday life of primary care. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language.

We are looking for a person who meets both patients and colleagues with warmth, engagement, and professionalism. You like structure but also appreciate that no two days are alike. You have the ability to adapt to changed circumstances and see the bigger picture. You can also prioritize your work effectively.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience working at a health centre and enjoy combining independent work with close teamwork. Education in diabetes or an interest in the area is particularly advantageous, as is further education in areas such as heart failure or asthma/COPD.
