Do you want to work in a development-oriented environment with strong collegial support and a focus on specialized rehabilitation? We are now looking for a licensed physiotherapist for our outpatient neurology department at Karlstad Central Hospital – a workplace where collaboration, competence development, and the patient's best interests are at the center.

Your Workplace

The specialist rehabilitation care at Karlstad Central Hospital is an operation with approximately 90 employees and four areas of activity: occupational therapy, music and art therapy, physiotherapy, and psychological activities. We work with numerous departments/specialties at the Central Hospital such as neurology, geriatrics, surgery, medicine, orthopedics, ICU, etc., both in outpatient and inpatient care.

Approximately 40 physiotherapists currently work in our operation, giving us good opportunities for collegial exchange and knowledge transfer. We have a career development model for physiotherapists and we strive to be a health-promoting workplace, which includes opportunities for fitness hours and fitness allowances.

We are now looking for a licensed physiotherapist for our specialized outpatient clinic at Karlstad Central Hospital. The focus is on adults with neurological diagnoses. This is a fixed-term position (vacation replacement).

Your Responsibilities

You will be part of a group with approximately four physiotherapy colleagues. You have your own premises together with the occupational therapists, including treatment rooms, a gym, and a gymnastics hall where you receive patients for assessment and, if necessary, rehabilitation, individually as well as in groups. You primarily collaborate with the Neurology and Rehabilitation Clinic and participate in teams for certain diagnoses in cooperation with them. Team collaboration regarding certain diagnoses is crucial for person-centered and patient-safe healthcare, where different competencies complement each other to achieve the best results together with the patient.

Based on your competence as a physiotherapist, you will assess/investigate/map, treat, and follow up within our outpatient care. The work requires a willingness and ability to work both individually with patients and together with occupational therapists or other professions, or in the available teams.

It is important to us that you have an interest in the current clinical assignment, good ability to collaborate with others, and that you wish to contribute to the development of the operation. We offer supervision and the training needed to perform the assignment. You consider the broader perspective and ensure the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions. During the summer, we also cover inpatient care to some extent.

Your Knowledge and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist. Experience of neurological rehabilitation is meritorious but not a requirement.

To work in our operation, you must be flexible and have the willingness and ability to work both in teams and independently. Other strengths we seek are development readiness, openness, and good communication skills. You see the big picture, consider the broader perspective, and ensure the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions.

If you want to become part of us and drive healthcare forward together with our employees, you are welcome to submit your application! We look forward to welcoming you to the team as soon as possible, so do not delay your application!
