Your workplace

The clinic is organized within the Adult Psychiatry area of Region Värmland. In addition to the clinic in Kristinehamn, there is psychiatric outpatient care in Hagfors, Torsby, Arvika, Säffle, and Karlstad. The psychiatric clinic in Kristinehamn is centrally located, with a short commuting distance from both Karlstad and Karlskoga. We operate our unit in close cross-professional collaboration and with permanent specialist doctors. We are a stable and well-functioning clinic with low staff turnover across all professional categories.

You will work at a clinic with a good and supportive work climate, with clear and established routines. With us, you will work in a team with high competence that values the patient's best interests. We operate our activities in some of Region Värmland's finest premises and are investing in developing our collaboration within the area of psychiatric outpatient care and with care partners.

At the clinic in Kristinehamn, in addition to specialist nurses and basic trained nurses, there are also specialist doctors, trainee doctors, social workers, care administrators, psychologists, and occupational therapists.

Your responsibilities

We are looking for two nurses, primarily with psychiatric competence, for a parental leave cover of just over 12 months, and one additional nurse for a permanent position. You will primarily work as part of our neuropsychiatric team.

The assignment will also include varied general psychiatric clinic work such as assessment, medication dispensing, medication follow-up, telephone advice, sampling, follow-up after inpatient care, unplanned contacts in case of deteriorating condition, home visits, and stabilizing conversations.

You will work with a clear and defined work setup that includes medical follow-up and treatment. Our work covers three municipalities with clinics in Kristinehamn and Filipstad. The primary work is centered in Kristinehamn, but does not exclude some travel. You will participate in individual treatment conferences with specialist doctors and be offered a good introduction and continuous supervision.

Our nursing group is stable and well-functioning with both high therapeutic and psychiatric competence. We are looking for colleagues with an interest in clinical work as well as therapeutic work and quality development. Our activity is dynamic and follows the patient's needs.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for registered nurses with experience of psychiatric work, preferably with further education in psychiatry or interest in specialist training.

We place great emphasis on teamwork, personal qualities, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate with patients, relatives, staff, and care partners. You should have a strong patient focus with a collaborative and solution-oriented attitude towards work and colleagues.
