Your workplace
At the Department of Cardiology and Acute Medicine, the patient is always at the center. We strive for safe, secure, and high-quality care, knowing that the path to this goal goes through engaged employees, good leadership, and a work environment where we thrive and develop together.
Department 56 is part of the Cardiology and Acute Medicine Clinic and has 17 inpatient beds as well as a day-care unit where we provide medical emergency care and cardiology services. Here, you will encounter a fascinating mix of medical conditions requiring quick decisions and skilled interventions. Our nurses work daily with advanced medical technology and cardiac monitoring, making the work both challenging and developmental.
Here, you become part of a large and competent team surrounding the patient. In addition to nurses, doctors, and nursing assistants, we collaborate closely with pharmacists, receptionists, and discharge coordinators. Together, we create a care environment where both patients and staff are the focus.
Here, you have the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally. The work at MAVA is varied and gives you broad competence in emergency healthcare. You gain experience in caring for patients with various medical conditions, often in acute and complex situations.
Your responsibilities
As a nurse here, you will have:
- Competence development through internal and external training in acute medical care and cardiology.
- Extended areas of responsibility, such as supervising students, mentoring, or participating in improvement and development work.
- Career paths within both clinical specialization and leadership, where you can grow further as a specialist nurse, team leader, or in other roles within the operation.
- A supportive work environment with a close and competent team, where we learn from each other and develop together.
In short – at Department 56, you get a workplace where you can both broaden and deepen your competence while contributing to the development of future emergency healthcare.
As a nurse in our medical emergency care department, you will have a central and responsible role in the patient's care. You lead and coordinate daily nursing care and are a key person in the meeting with the patient, always in close collaboration with doctors, nursing assistants, and other professions in the team.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Medication management in collaboration with the pharmacist.
- Specific nursing care in acute and complex conditions, such as BiPAP, OptiFlow, and cardiac monitoring.
- Rounds together with the team.
- Documentation and follow-up of care interventions.
Here, you get to work in a varied and developmental environment where you have the opportunity to broaden your competence and use your knowledge fully. We offer a workplace with a strong team spirit, short decision-making paths, and a culture where we support each other in everyday life.
Your knowledge and competencies
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
You are confident in your professional role, have good self-insight, and can distinguish between the personal and professional in meetings with patients and colleagues. You find it easy to collaborate, are receptive, and communicate clearly, while handling challenges and conflicts in a constructive manner.
Your empathetic ability allows you to put yourself in others' perspectives without taking over their feelings, and you have a clear communication style that ensures messages get through and expectations are clear. You work in a structured manner, plan and prioritize effectively, and adhere to set timeframes. Experience in cardiology and/or emergency healthcare is meritorious but not a requirement.
Do you want to work in an environment where you get to grow, use your competence fully, and feel the strength of a tight-knit team? Then Department 56 is the right place for you.
