Job Description

As a teacher with us, you will teach wood and metal crafts as well as technology in grades 1–6. You plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching based on the curriculum and the students' needs, prerequisites, and progression.

About the School

Furuborgskolan is the municipality's youngest school, covering grades F–6 as well as adapted primary school grades 1–6. Here, approximately 370 fantastic students are met by a dedicated and competent staff who work together to create a safe, accessible, and developmentally enriching learning environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who conduct teaching where guidance and stimulation are a natural part of the learning environment and where all students are given the opportunity to develop as far as possible. You actively work to create structure, security, and motivation in the classroom through clear and relational leadership.

You recognize the importance of building trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and have the ability to meet students with high expectations, warmth, and clarity.

With us, you are expected to work systematically to develop teaching by analyzing students' learning and results, as well as using research and proven experience as the basis for your pedagogical work. You reflect on your teaching, try new methods, and actively contribute to the school's joint development work.

To qualify for the position, you should:

• Be a certified teacher with eligibility to teach crafts (wood and metal) and technology for the relevant grade levels.
• Have clear, secure, and relational leadership skills.
• Work consciously with guidance and stimulation to meet the different needs of all students.
• Have a good ability to create an accessible and inclusive learning environment.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching systematically based on students' learning and results.
• Use a scientific basis and proven experience to develop the quality of teaching.
• Be flexible, responsible, and have good collaboration skills.
• See the strength in collegial learning and wish to contribute to the development of the entire school.
• Easily create good relationships and collaborate with students, guardians, student health services, and colleagues.

We require you to present an extract from the criminal record and suspicion register before employment.

Nykvarn Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, and we consider it an advantage if you speak Finnish.
