Skarpnäcks School is located in Kärrtorp in southern Stockholm. It is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) with approximately 950 students, including about 40 students in adapted primary education and 40 students in CSU (Comprehensive Special Upper Secondary) activities. Approximately 180 staff members work at the school.

Your Role

We are looking for an engaged and inspiring music teacher who wants to help develop students' creativity, musical expression, and enthusiasm for learning.

You will teach students in grades 3–6 as well as students in adapted primary education. The teaching in adapted primary education covers students from several grade levels and includes both students studying according to subjects and students studying according to subject areas.

As a music teacher, you are responsible for:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching
• Assessing and documenting students' knowledge development
• Creating a safe, creative, and stimulating learning environment
• Adapting the content and methods of teaching based on students' different needs and prerequisites
• Collaborating with guardians and the student health team when necessary

You will be part of the lower secondary school's work team and collaborate closely with colleagues in both the comprehensive school and adapted primary education. Through active collegial learning, you contribute to the continued development and quality of the operations.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for you who have high expectations for students' development and want to contribute to creating accessible and inclusive teaching.

You who apply:

• Are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach music in grades 1-9
• Have good pedagogical insight and the ability to lead student groups
• Have experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching
• Have good digital competence and use digital tools as support in teaching
• Have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues, students, and guardians

It is meritorious if you:

• Have experience working in adapted primary education
• Have knowledge of teaching within both subjects and subject areas
• Have experience adapting teaching for students with intellectual disabilities

You have a good ability to adapt teaching to students' different needs and prerequisites. You are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. Furthermore, you are flexible, solution-focused, and see collaboration as a natural part of the assignment.
