Job Description
Do you want to support companies in their sustainability work and contribute to reducing environmental and climate impact in the industry? We are now looking for an engaged and driven consultant within sustainability and chemicals who wants to work closely with our customers on environmental legislation, chemical management, and environmental improvement work.
As a consultant with us, you will support our customers in ensuring compliance with environmental and chemical requirements and developing ways of working for a more sustainable and resource-efficient business. You will have a varied role where you work both operationally and strategically with environmental and chemical issues in various industries.
The assignments vary over time but may include:
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies, including conducting compliance checks and audits
- Reporting to authorities in areas such as hazardous waste, chemicals, packaging, and environmental protection costs
- Collecting and compiling climate and environmental data according to current standards, such as GRI
- Responsible for chemical management, including chemical lists and safety data sheets
- Conducting requirement assessments related to environmental and chemical legislation
- Supporting operations in improvement work related to methodology, processes, writing routines, and implementing activities to reduce environmental and chemical impact
- Conducting risk assessments and developing action plans.
Who are we?
Our Compliance & Quality Management (CQM) section consists of approximately 20 employees in Mälardalen, Malmö, and Gothenburg. Among our employees, ranging from newly graduated to senior, there is a broad competence within sustainability, quality, compliance, and business development. We work with products throughout their lifecycle as well as processes throughout the company's organization in various industries and organizations.
Qualifications
We would like you to have:
- Relevant university education in environment, chemistry, sustainability, engineering, or equivalent
- At least 3 - 5 years of experience working in environment, sustainability, or chemical management, preferably within manufacturing industry or as a consultant
- Good knowledge of environmental and chemical legislation such as REACH, RoHS, WEEE, and CSRD.
- Ability to interpret and apply legal requirements in practice
- Experience with environmental reporting and sustainability data
- Experience driving improvement work and coordinating activities within the environmental and chemical field
- Fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing
We would be especially pleased if you also have:
- Experience with chemical risk assessments
- Experience working according to ISO 14001
- Knowledge of California Proposition 65 and other non-European legislation
