Job Description

Within the business area Environment, AFRY offers qualified consulting services within contaminated sites as well as environment & sustainability. We are a mix of consultants with different areas of expertise working with notification and permit cases, water and air investigations, environmental impact assessments, environmental investigations, environmental technical site investigations, environmental controls, risk assessments, sustainability, auditing, environmental management, and quality management. Our customers are found in both the private as well as the municipal and public sectors.

We are now looking for you as a senior environmental consultant with specialist competence in environmental permitting, environmental assessment, periodic inspection, and strategic advice in early stages for e.g., industrial operations, water operations, energy and infrastructure sectors, as well as road and railway projects.

As part of our team, you will play a central role in leading assignments or participating as an expert. The role involves great variation and personal responsibility. Business acumen is important, and you will work in assignments from the bidding stage through implementation and reporting. We value your ability to analyze complex situations and your experience in handling projects from start to finish. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced colleagues both locally and nationally within the field to contribute to creating sustainable solutions for the environment. You will also be involved in training and developing junior colleagues.

To succeed and thrive in your role as a senior environmental consultant, we are looking for you who have:

  • A university or college degree in the environmental field
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Very good familiarity with permit processes and environmental impact assessments
  • At least 8 years of experience within the environmental field
  • At least 5 years of experience working as an environmental consultant
  • Experience in driving assignments in the role of project manager or assignment leader
  • Driver's license category B

It is meritorious, but not a requirement, if you have some years of experience in:

  • Working as a project manager or assignment leader
  • Working with customers and other stakeholders to discuss, present assignments, and give recommendations
