Your Mission

As a Food Inspector and Tobacco Case Handler, you will have a varied role involving supervision, control, and case processing within both the food and tobacco sectors. You are responsible for public control according to food legislation through inspections, audits, and processing of cases related to food businesses. The assignment also includes registering new businesses and investigating complaints, food poisoning incidents, and RASFF cases.

Within the tobacco sector, you are responsible for supervision and case processing according to the Tobacco and Similar Products Act. You plan and conduct supervisory visits, follow up on deviations, and provide information and guidance to business operators. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to develop your competence and, if necessary, support work within alcohol supervision.

The work combines independent responsibility with close collaboration with both colleagues and other authorities. The role is varied and involves many contact points, where you daily meet entrepreneurs, consultants, politicians, and colleagues in the City Hall. Through your guidance and advice, you play a key role in creating understanding of the regulations, contributing to good regulatory compliance, and at the same time safeguarding a safe environment for consumers.

Your Experience

• You are educated as a Food Inspector or have other equivalent education from a university or college.
• Education in law, economics, social work, or equivalent is meritorious.
• Experience as a Food Inspector and supervision according to the Tobacco Act is meritorious.
• Experience working in a politically governed organization is meritorious.
• A B driving license is required.
• Knowledge of case management systems Ecos and AlkT/OL2 is meritorious.
