Do you want to combine field surveys with project management in complex and socially significant projects? Norconsult is now looking for an experienced environmental consultant with a focus on natural environment to join our team in Stockholm.

To our group for EIA, permits, and natural environment, we are seeking a project manager with experience in nature value surveys and species surveys. You will work on assignments for municipalities, authorities, and private actors, contributing to the entire process – from planning to implementation, reporting, and follow-up.

Here, you have the opportunity to adapt your role based on your competence, for example by combining project management with specialist work within a species group or analysis. The group is currently working on both general nature value surveys and targeted species surveys, for example regarding bats.

At Norconsult, we offer you the chance to work on sustainable, varied, and socially beneficial assignments that make a difference. Here you will find an inclusive workplace where solution-oriented collaborations with colleagues are in focus. The collaborations take place within the department, between offices within Sweden, but also across borders, for example to Norway. We believe in having fun at work!

Examples of tasks

  • Project management and customer contact
  • Nature value surveys according to SS 199000:2023
  • Species surveys (e.g., bats, birds, amphibians)
  • Species protection investigations
  • GIS analyses and natural environment assessments
  • Consulting related to nature values and measures

In our work group, you will work as a project manager and case handler in both large and small projects. Depending on your competence and interest, there is an opportunity to coordinate and manage other assignments within the environmental and nature field.

At Norconsult, we value an inclusive and supportive work environment where every employee can grow and develop. We believe in open communication, collaboration, and promoting a balance between work and private life. Our team consists of passionate and engaged individuals who work together to create sustainable solutions for the future. We encourage innovation and creativity and strive to be leaders in our field.

There is also an opportunity to be stationed at one of our other offices in Uppsala, Västerås, and Karlstad.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are both close to the field and confident in the role of project manager. You work in a structured manner, are self-reliant, and thrive in dialogue with customers and colleagues. Your responsibilities include project management, coordination with customers, field surveys, and report writing. This role also involves various forms of analysis and consulting.

To succeed in the role, you need:

  • At least 5 years of experience with nature value surveys (SS 199000:2023)
  • Experience in project management
  • University degree in a relevant field
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)

We also consider the following to be meritorious:

  • In-depth knowledge within a specific species group, for example: vascular plants, insects, amphibians, cryptogams, fungi, and/or bats.
  • Experience with GIS analysis such as habitat network analysis or similar
