We are looking for you who want to contribute to Sweden's internal and external security in the role of case officer at the Unit for Registration and Admission. Are you the one we are looking for?
You will be part of a work group consisting of four case officers, four coordinators, and a unit manager at the Unit for Registration to Basic Training in Karlstad.
As preparation for the various summer holidays, the employment interviews are planned to be conducted on June 25 and 26.
Your responsibilities
Your tasks will be linked to supporting the conscription process. Part of the work may include participating in development projects within the unit and the agency.
You will also work with processing cases related to registration for military service (värnplikt) and civil service (civilplikt). Furthermore, you will provide support and advice regarding the unit's areas of responsibility to colleagues, clients, and the general public.
The tasks also include supporting logistics, i.e., planning who should report for duty and when, and at which examination office. You will also specify requirements for changes in our business system.
You will also provide support to some of the clients who use the Duty and Examination Authority for examining candidates during their recruitment process.
Your workplace is at the Unit for Registration to Basic Training in Karlstad. In Stockholm, Malmö, Gothenburg, and soon Umeå, there are registration units that also belong to the authority. We have a collegial atmosphere and great loyalty to our employees within the work group and the entire authority.
To create cohesion and keep you updated, there is rotating service. This means that for a few days per half-year, you work at one of our examination offices, meeting those reporting for duty and registering them for long basic training with military or civil service obligation. Therefore, it is meritorious if you have experience with long basic training for military or civil service.
At our agency, good cohesion and a good working climate are important. Therefore, you who apply for the job must be prepared for the work to take place at the office in Karlstad.
Your qualifications
You have a post-secondary education or other work experience that the employer considers relevant.
You have:
- good experience working in various IT systems and using the Microsoft Office package
- good knowledge of the total defence
It is meritorious if you have worked within a government agency and if you have completed long basic training for military or civil service.
Your personal qualities
You should appreciate taking responsibility for structuring and leading your own work within your area of responsibility, which requires a high work ethic but also that you are curious and reliable. To thrive with us, it is required that you also appreciate solving tasks together with others. By being unpretentious, flexible, and cooperative, you can prioritize and plan your work together with the work group's common tasks.
About the employment
Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period.
As an employee with us, you have between 28-35 days of vacation per year, depending on your age. You are offered a wellness allowance and have the opportunity to exercise during working hours.
We conduct a security clearance with register control according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. In some cases, Swedish citizenship is required. The employment includes an obligation to be war-placed (krigsplacerad).

We also conduct tests and assessments for other agencies, such as the Police and the Swedish Defence University.
