Here you will work at a stable and well-organized health centre, of a moderate size, located approximately 20 minutes from Karlstad. We have functional structures, good collaboration between professional groups, and a shared focus on quality in everyday life. Your Workplace

Grums Health Centre has approximately 7,000 registered patients and is operated by Region Värmland. The health centre belongs to the South Karlstad operational area, which includes the health centres Gripen, Grums, Skoghall, Tullholmen, Västerstrand, our digital unit Vårdcentral Värmland, and the Karlstad Emergency Centre. The health centre is staffed by approximately 20 employees in the roles of specialist doctors, resident doctors (ST-läkare), district nurses, nurses, assistant nurses, care administrators, psychologists, podiatrists, and centre manager.

In addition to the doctor's clinic, the health centre offers a counselling clinic, an assistant nurse clinic, a podiatry clinic, and a nurse clinic, including clinics for diabetes, asthma/COPD, heart failure, and dementia. We also provide medical resources to BMM (Basic Medical Care), Child Health Centres (BVC), home care services, short-term care facilities, LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) residences, and elderly care homes.

Over the past few years, we have purposefully developed our working methods, routines, and medical quality – with very good results. Today, we have well-functioning flows, control over waiting lists, and a structure that creates predictability in everyday life. Our working method is based on continuity, where patients are distributed based on their date of birth. This gives you a clear overview of your patient group and creates good conditions for long-term patient relationships.

Your Responsibilities

You will become part of an engaged and stable medical team where work environment and sustainability are in focus. At our centre, you have good opportunities to influence your schedule and timetable, provided that you take responsibility for your registered patients.

In our daily team rounds, you actively participate in medical prioritization and decide together with colleagues which of your patients require medical assessment. This working method contributes to efficient resource utilization and high medical quality. We also offer the possibility of digital visits and some remote work, based on the operational needs and your preferences.

We have an open work climate where it is natural to discuss medical issues and support each other, both within the medical group and together with other professional categories.

If you have an interest in elderly care, there is an opportunity to work as an elderly care physician, where you exclusively work with elderly patients and are responsible for the municipality-affiliated patients in special housing, LSS, short-term care, and home care. The role involves close collaboration with the municipality and a shared focus on creating safe, cohesive, and high-quality care for the most vulnerable patients. We have a well-established and highly appreciated working method that we would be happy to present in more detail if you are interested.

Today, the medical group consists of four district physicians and one resident doctor. We are now strengthening the team further and are looking for you who want to join us in continuing to develop our operations.

Your Knowledge and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a specialist in general medicine and who value the close patient encounter and high medical quality. You have an interest in development and improvement work and are eager to contribute to the continued development of our operations. Since the position involves travel, you must have a valid B-class driver's license.

As a person, you are secure, responsible, and structured. You have a good ability to plan your work independently while also appreciating teamwork and collegial dialogue. You put the patient at the center and work towards safe, accessible, and equitable care.
