About the Role

Native language teachers and study counselors in Hylte Municipality are organized under the Language Centre, which is a central unit within the municipality. Here, teachers work together with a focus on supporting students' language development and learning in their native language. The operation collaborates with the municipality's various schools and contributes to creating good conditions for students' development and participation in school.

Responsibilities

As a native language teacher in Turkish, you are responsible for teaching students in their native language in accordance with the curriculum Lgr22. You plan, implement, assess, and document the teaching with the support of the learning platform IST Lärande as part of a formative working method. The teaching takes place at different schools in the municipality after the end of the school day, either on-site or via remote teaching. The role also includes actively working with the school's value base and, from grade 6 to 9, assigning grades according to current grading criteria. If necessary, you can also conduct trials in Turkish and assist with translating documents and important information to students and guardians. The position is fixed-term until December 2026, with the possibility of extension.

You work systematically and adapt the teaching based on each student's individual prerequisites. Requirements:

• Educated teacher with eligibility to teach in native language (Turkish) and Swedish teacher certification, or equivalent competence assessed by the employer as equivalent
• Good knowledge of and experience with the school's governing documents
• Ability to adapt teaching based on students' different needs and prerequisites
• Experience with or ability to work with formative learning and digital tools
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with other professional groups within the school
• Passed grades in one of the following: SFI D, Basic Swedish Course 4, or Swedish as a Second Language 1
