The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individualized compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse problems. SiS also operates closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse issues across the country. Working at SiS offers you an exciting challenge. SiS LVM Home Renforsen in Vindeln receives men with alcohol, drug, or poly-substance abuse. The institution is tasked with providing care for clients with special resource needs.

Job Description:

Are you motivated by helping clients in vulnerable life situations? Do you also enjoy organizing, leading, and planning? Then you should apply for the position of Group Leader at SiS LVM Home Renforsen! As a Group Leader, you contribute to a safe and secure environment for both our male clients and staff. In this role, you work actively in the operational care and treatment work on the ward. You are responsible for planning, operationally leading, and distributing the daily work. You act as a role model and promote that the work is conducted in a legally secure manner and in accordance with current guidelines, methods, and set goals. You keep the unit manager of your ward updated on issues that may affect the working environment, care and treatment environment, or deficiencies in operations. Onboarding and supervision of new employees are also part of your work. You are part of a team with the unit manager and treatment secretary, and you will have close collaboration to create good results together.

Qualifications:

To thrive and succeed in the role of Group Leader, you are motivated by working with and helping people in vulnerable life situations. The operational work and interaction with clients are your primary focus. You are good at planning, organizing, and prioritizing work efficiently and are clear in your communication with others. At the same time, you are attentive and affirming in your approach with clients and staff, and skilled at building relationships. You have a professional attitude and a good ability to collaborate and put yourself in others' perspectives. The work can be challenging at times and requires you to be stable and maintain calm even in stressful situations.

You must also have:

  • A university degree of at least 180 higher education credits with a focus on social sciences, care, or behavioral sciences.
  • Several years of meritorious work experience from work within SiS or other operations focusing on care, treatment, and security, such as social services, care and treatment, prison and probation services, or other relevant operations.
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both in writing and orally.

As a Group Leader, you may be appointed as acting unit manager and/or included in the management on-call roster.

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.

The work is scheduled during daytime Monday-Friday. On-call duty may be included in the position.
