Individuals under the age of 65 who have a disability and extensive needs for support and assistance can apply for personal assistance. A personal assistant helps someone with basic needs, such as eating, dressing, washing, and communicating. The assistance is individually tailored and aims to provide increased opportunities for people with disabilities to live independent lives.

About Me

I am a woman in my mid-40s who wants to discover the world. I am looking for you who are close to laughter, but who are also not afraid of difficult and heavy emotions.

I appreciate humor, laughter, and crazy antics. Due to trauma, I suffer from flashbacks, nightmares, body memories, and panic attacks. In these moments, I need help and support from my assistants.

It is important to me that you and I create a good relationship so that I feel safe with you. It may take some time, so I ask that you have patience. Together we plan and structure our days to find a reasonable activity level. Everyday life is a mix of fun activities and dealing with difficult feelings and memories.

Your Responsibilities

You will support and assist me, a woman in her mid-40s with high-functioning autism and complex PTSD.

Your primary responsibility is to help me with stress regulation, emotional management, and finding strategies to act constructively in difficult situations. You will also accompany me to activities. This can range from outdoor activities to shopping.

I have a great interest in being out in nature and being physically active. I would be happy if you share this interest and have the energy for it. Of course, we have fun together, and when support is needed, you guide and support me through daily life.

About You

I would like you to be a middle-aged woman who is stable and confident in yourself, and who can remain calm and focused even in tough situations. You are perceptive and have an easy time reading situations, which makes it easy for you to follow my varying mood. Your perceptiveness means you are always a step ahead and act as a stress regulator. You radiate calm to your surroundings, stay collected, and keep your full focus on the task. You see challenges where others see obstacles and stand firm when the storm rages.

The work requires personal maturity and the ability to take initiative and make decisions when the situation demands it, as well as the ability to act constructively in difficult situations. You need to show great commitment and have an interest in working with behavioral changes. It is desirable that you have education in pedagogy or social work, for example, as a social worker, therapeutic pedagogue, or equivalent. You are welcome to have experience working with traumatized individuals, as well as individuals with self-harming behavior and autism.

It is also important that neither you nor anyone in your immediate vicinity smokes, as I have asthma.

Fluent Swedish is a requirement, as clear communication is crucial to understanding my needs and creating a safe and functional daily life. The personal chemistry between you and me is important, so personal suitability is highly valued.

I would be happy if you have a B driver's license, but it is not a requirement.

Heavy lifting occurs at the workplace.

2 permanent positions, 60-100%, starting as soon as possible, by agreement. Work shifts are long and extend over the day, evening, and weekends.
