About the Department
Mölndal Hospital has a strong focus on orthopedic injuries, but also treats patients with purely medical conditions. The occupational therapy unit provides occupational therapy services in both inpatient and outpatient care within orthopedics, stroke/medicine, and geriatrics. The workplace is knowledge-intensive, featuring several master's-level specialists and PhD-qualified occupational therapists. Approximately 35 occupational therapists work at the unit, organized into two groups: the Outpatient Group focusing on hand rehabilitation (orthopedics and hand surgery) and the Inpatient Group covering orthopedics, geriatrics, and stroke/medicine.

Responsibilities
As an occupational therapist specializing in hand rehabilitation, you will work with varied patient interventions in outpatient care; assessing and treating hand injuries such as fractures, sprains, dislocations, nerve injuries, and tendon injuries. Common interventions include casting, edema treatment, exercise therapy, activity training, scar treatment, sensory training, splinting, and various interventions related to activities of daily living.
All work is conducted based on national and local guidelines and prioritization orders.
About You
You are a trained and licensed occupational therapist, preferably with experience in the rehabilitation of orthopedic injuries and hand rehabilitation.
You appreciate a varied workload and have strong prioritization skills. You are a confident individual with good collaboration skills. You contribute with your engagement, develop in your professional role, and have an interest in clinical development work. Personal suitability is highly valued.
