NU Hospital is part of the Region of Västra Götaland and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area covers 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are approximately 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forest, and lakes.
About Us
The ambulance service within NU Hospital provides advanced pre-hospital care in a geographical area that includes both urban, rural, and coastal regions. The ambulance service's approximately 300 employees carry out around 50,000 missions per year. The work is performed using ambulances, assessment cars, and lying patient transport vehicles departing from strategically placed stations.
We are now looking for a coordinator for our operations. You will be responsible for workforce planning, which includes short-term staffing, leave, and absence management. You will be responsible for adjusting and planning scheduling in consultation with management, daily steering, and various other administrative and operational tasks based on the needs of the business. The role also involves close collaboration with HR administrators and ward managers. This is partly a new function in the ambulance service, which means it will be developed together with you. The work provides the prerequisites for the operation to meet the needs of those we serve.
Responsibilities may include
- Create, administer, and follow up on work schedules for staff.
- Ensure that scheduling is carried out in accordance with the Working Hours Act, collective agreements, and local guidelines.
- Plan staffing based on operational needs, competence requirements, and the operation's demands for quality and patient safety.
- Manage short- and long-term staffing, including absence, leave, and vacancies.
- Collaborate with ward managers and other functions regarding staffing issues.
- Provide support and guidance to employees on scheduling-related matters.
- Work in current scheduling systems and ensure correct documentation.
- Contribute to a good work environment through sustainable schedules.
- Perform administrative tasks in management and development work.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have experience in administrative work, preferably within healthcare, and an education that the employer considers relevant for the position.
Since the work involves a lot of contact with employees and managers, a good ability to collaborate is required. As a person, you easily build trusting relationships, you are service-oriented, and thrive with a variation of tasks in a sometimes fast-paced environment. You have a good ability to structure, prioritize, and work independently. You communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. We consider it a given that the computer is your primary work tool. Experience from similar tasks is meritorious. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Other
Working hours are during the day, all days of the week. Placement is determined by agreement within NU Hospital's catchment area.
Interviews may take place continuously during the application period.
Welcome with your application!
The position may be placed in a security class. This means that security clearance and register checks may be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act before employment.
