About the Workplace
In your role as a Controller, you will belong to the Finance Department in Area 5 at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. We work closely with the operations alongside other staff functions, such as HR, development, and operational units.
About the Role
As a Controller in our department, you will provide broad, qualified support to the operations on all matters related to finance. You will work independently with a high degree of personal responsibility, while always having colleagues to discuss with and receive support from.
You will work with 1-2 business areas where you will have a decision- and process-supporting role within the finance area and work closely with the operations' managers on strategic and operational issues. You will support work such as:
- serving on the leadership group of the business area
- budgeting, follow-up, analysis, and forecasting
- participating in change management
- revenue and cost calculations
- developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarking figures
- research and investment-related issues may occur to some extent
The work is varied and takes place both independently with significant personal responsibility and in teams with other controllers. Opportunities are provided to join various teams, together with one or more colleagues, where your knowledge is deepened in a specific area. As a Controller at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, you are also expected to contribute to work at a hospital-wide level.
About You
We are looking for someone who is self-reliant, analytical, service-oriented, and social, with a strong interest in structure, including order and clarity. You have a good ability to draw conclusions and create a good overview in complex work involving finance and its connections to production and personnel usage. The role requires good communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to convey financial information in a pedagogical manner. You can independently drive your work forward, support and challenge through your competence to foster development, show initiative, and be aware of goals, deadlines, and timeframes.
You are confident in your professional role and enjoy working independently. The role also involves many contacts and close collaboration with others, which requires that you also enjoy teamwork. Personal suitability is highly valued.
