Arvidsjaur Airport offers year-round connections to Stockholm Arlanda as well as international traffic, primarily to Germany during the winter season. The airport is operated by the municipal company Arvidsjaurs Flygplats AB (AFAB), which is part of the group Arvidsjaur Kommunföretag AB (AKAB).

Do you want to lead and develop an airport that plays a significant role in both local community development and international contacts? We are now looking for an Airport Manager who will also serve as the CEO of Arvidsjaurs Flygplats AB.

Here, you will become a key figure in an organization where the airport is crucial for business, tourism, and regional development.

About the role

As Airport Manager and CEO, you have overall responsibility for the operations – strategic, operational, and financial. You ensure that the airport is run in accordance with current regulations and high demands for safety and aviation security.

You will:

• lead, develop, and monitor operations against set goals
• be responsible for the airport's management system
• oversee finance, business planning, and the company's development
• manage commercial agreements, cooperation agreements, and their delivery
• ensure compliance with regulations within aviation and occupational health and safety
• represent the company in dialogue with owners, authorities, and external partners
• be present in daily operations and contribute where needed

You have personnel responsibility and work closely with employees through a trust-based and engaging leadership style.

Qualifications

• Relevant post-secondary education
• Several years of experience in managerial and leadership roles
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English
• Experience from the aviation industry or other safety-critical operations is an advantage

Other information

The position involves acting as Airport Manager (Accountable Manager) and CEO of the company. The role of Airport Manager entails responsibility for the airport's certificate together with designated persons.

If necessary, the employer will cover additional training.

A security clearance check will be conducted prior to employment. The position is a permanent full-time role, with start date by agreement.
