About the Role

As CEO of KIAB and KNC, you are responsible for leading, developing, and coordinating the operations within the companies. The role also includes Kalix Port, meaning you will work broadly with real estate, establishment issues, port operations, and the work on creating an attractive city center.

You have overall responsibility for operations, economy, personnel, and long-term growth, while also serving as a key representative for the companies in dialogue with the municipality, business community, board, and external partners.

In this role, you work closely with a small and engaged team consisting of, among others, an operations coordinator, an economist, and a property manager, as well as in close collaboration with the operations organization, external operators, and the municipality's business development unit.

Your main areas of responsibility include, among other things:

• Lead and develop the operations within KIAB, KNC, and Kalix Port
• Responsible for results, budget, personnel, and operational management
• Drive business, establishment issues, and long-term investments
• Enhance the property portfolio and execute investment and development projects
• Negotiate agreements and handle the acquisition and sale of properties
• Actively work with business development and relationships with companies, investors, and authorities
• Ensure an efficient organization and drive digitalization and AI issues
• Responsible for issues related to port operations, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and conduct board work as well as reporting to the board and owners

The position is located in Kalix, and the work is performed on-site.

You thrive in a broad role with many contact points and have an easy time building trust in dialogue with both the business community and politics/organizations.

You are structured, solution-oriented, and used to driving issues forward with both speed and quality. At the same time, you are unpretentious and present in your leadership, someone who engages people and builds strong collaborations.

We would like you to have:

• Relevant post-secondary education in areas such as economics, engineering, urban planning, or similar
• Experience from a leading position with responsibility for results, budget, and personnel
• Experience in business development, negotiation, and strategic work
• Good understanding of real estate economics, investments, and project management
• Experience working in or with board and politically governed operations
• Good digital skills and interest in development and efficiency

It is an advantage if you have experience from the real estate industry, municipal companies, port operations, logistics, or business development.

You express yourself fluently in Swedish and have good knowledge of English; knowledge of Finnish is a plus. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.
