Operations Manager for Hela Människan Boden
Do you want to lead an organization where coffee, beans, laughter, sorrow, structure, and hope all fit at the same table? Where leadership is about both budgets and interpersonal skills, and where every person is met eye-to-eye?
Hela Människan in Boden is now looking for an Operations Manager who wants to help carry, lead, and develop our work among people in socially vulnerable situations.
About Us – Hela Människan Boden
We are a non-profit, Christian, and ecumenical organization that believes in the whole person – body, soul, and spirit. Our values are rooted in love, patience, and tolerance. The daily life of our organization is characterized by the conviction that all people have an inviolable value.
Among other things, we offer:
- A meeting place for the day-dwelling with breakfast, lunch, and community
- A grocery store and second-hand shop
- Conversations, support, and social community
- Devotions and opportunities for spiritual deepening
- Collaboration with churches, civil society, and public actors
We do not try to “fix people”; we meet them. With respect. Eye-to-eye. Often over a cup of coffee.
About the Role
As Operations Manager, you are both a leader and a team player. You are close to the operations and the people, while simultaneously holding the overall picture, direction, and structure.
The role involves responsibility for:
- Leading and planning daily operations
- Supervising staff and coordinating volunteers
- Financial responsibility (budget, follow-up, and ongoing economics)
- Contact with funders, partners, and authorities
- Developing operations based on local needs and Hela Människans foundation
- Participating in conversations, group activities, and devotions together with other staff
- Being the face of the organization
- Contributing to the board's working committee
In short: you hold both heart and structure in your hand – without dropping either.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for you who:
- Share Hela Människans Christian and ecumenical values
- Want to meet people in socially vulnerable situations with warmth, respect, and endurance
- Have the ability to communicate with guests, employees, volunteers, churches, and authorities
- Are confident in yourself, structured where needed, and flexible where life demands it
- Have experience in leadership, preferably within non-profit or social work
- Have a valid driver’s license (Category B)
Suitable education could be diaconal studies, social work, or equivalent.
Personal suitability is highly valued. Who you are weighs at least as much as what is on your CV.
