Purchasing Manager for Gällivare Municipality

Gällivare Municipality is now looking for an engaged and business-driven Purchasing Manager who wants to lead and further develop our purchasing function at a time when digitalization, sustainability, and strategic management are in focus.

About the Role

As Purchasing Manager, you will have a central role in the municipality with significant authority to influence both working methods and results. You lead the purchasing unit and work closely with the various operations to ensure efficient, legally secure, and commercial tenders.

You are part of the finance department and report to the Finance Manager, with broad collaboration across the entire organization and with external actors.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you are responsible for:

• Leading, developing, and inspiring employees within the purchasing unit
• Ensuring efficient and strategic purchasing management
• Developing processes and working methods
• Driving digitalization and e-commerce
• Being responsible for budget and operations
• Conducting strategic tenders

We are looking for you who

You have a relevant academic degree or equivalent experience, as well as experience in purchasing or procurement. Experience from the public sector and knowledge of the Swedish Public Procurement Act (LOU) are meritorious.

As a person, you are a confident leader, communicative, structured, and collaborative.
