About the workplace

Kungshult Nursing Home is located in the northern part of Helsingborg. Surrounding the facility are lush beech forests and meadows, with horses grazing nearby, creating a calm and rural environment. The nursing home has 72 apartments spread over three floors. We have two dementia wards with a total of 24 tenants, where a secure and person-centered approach is the foundation of our work. Kungshult is a Silvija-certified unit, which means that all staff have received specialized training and that we work systematically with dementia issues.

What we offer

At Kungshult Nursing Home, we offer you a job where you work to create high-quality care for those we serve. You collaborate cross-professionally in the joint care and support work with unit managers, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, nurses, physiotherapists, and other staff.

The workplace is smoke-free and health-conscious. As an employee, you receive an annual wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK. We offer flexible working hours, meaning you decide what percentage of a full-time position you wish to work.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant, you will provide individual care and service to the tenants in a way that makes each individual feel unique and involved. Your duties include performing health and medical care tasks according to instructions and delegation, and you will take an active part in the holistic care required to ensure tenants have a good quality of life based on their individual conditions.

You will meet people with various illnesses and disabilities, and the work revolves around creating security for both tenants and their relatives. We provide support through personal hygiene, meal situations, as well as social activities and outdoor excursions.

A part of the role includes being an activity coordinator, which means you plan and lead activities, both on your own ward and throughout the entire building. You will represent your ward regarding activities and collaborate with other activity coordinators in the building.

Other responsibilities include documentation according to current legislation and acting as a contact person.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and have proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or can certify that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023.

You are empathetic and treat people with dementia respectfully. You are responsible and can work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues.

Experience working with national quality registers, such as Senior Alert and the BPSD register, is an advantage.

We would appreciate it if you have the possibility and willingness to work evening shifts to a larger extent.
